According to the University College of London’s Centre for Global Higher Education, “Australia is expected to become the second most popular destination for international students, just behind the US”. This giant island is home to nearly 700,000 international students. It is because of the fact that Australia provides quality education, ease of access to student support services, multicultural society and excellent lifestyle. Australia has six of the world’s top 100 universities which stimulate the probability for international students to get the quality education of their desire. This country has one of the best higher education systems in the world, with over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions. Australia is ranked 8th in terms of higher education, leaving France, Japan, Norway and Germany behind. Moreover, Australian Government has invested around AUD 300 million in scholarship for international students. Australia has the privilege of having over 2.5 million international alumni who are making a global difference.
Australia houses a total of 125 higher education providers with 43 universities. Australian universities have more than one million enrolled students and employ over 100,000 staff.
